Why today claims management can no longer hold up as it did before

In claims management, pressure is mounting on two fronts: more intense climate events and expectations for immediate response. The result is a daily tension between speed and reliability: those managing a claim must close it sooner, but with more documents to verify and more parties involved. Automating helps only if it doesn’t create a new blind spot. For this reason, AI should be used where it provides evidence and reduces repetitive work (quick document reading, identifying critical issues), leaving room for the validation of those who sign the decision.

CEOforLIFE Awards 2025: context, scope, and recognition

On December 2, 2025, at the CEOforLIFE ClubHouse in Rome, Task Force Italy dedicated the event CEOforLIFE Awards 2025 – INNOVATION to the themes of Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Digital Transformation. The official program schedules the session “Presentation of Awarded Projects by National Task Force” at 5:25 PM, and in Round Table 2, Clay Audino, CEO of Betacom is listed. The day also includes the “CEOforLIFE Awards 2025 Ceremony” and a networking dinner. In the format, leaders are recognized for innovative ideas, projects, and strategies linked to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The meeting is part of the Awards 2025 calendar.

Global Claims: the choices made (including those that complicate life)

On that occasion, we presented Global Claims, the Betacom platform for efficient end-to-end management of assignments: digitization of flows, geolocation, and offline management to work even on the field.
The initial limitation was practical: during the site inspection, network access is not guaranteed, but the work must continue without “informational gaps”.

The difficult choice was not to build a rigid and fast product to release, but an adaptable and configurable platform, customizable in corporate identity and modifiable in every aspect (documents, communications, operational processes). This required more tests, more governance, and a tighter release discipline. In parallel, we standardized the quality checklists on cases, integrated AI modules where they have an immediate impact, and strengthened alignment with the insurance domain by working in a unified team (insurance, mobile, AI).

On the AI front, Global Claims includes pre-structured notes for communication with companies and an assisted damage estimate that proposes an economic range to be validated with the physical adjuster.

In the post published after the event, Dr. Audino summarized it like this: "It's not just about digitizing processes." Read the post on LinkedIn.
