Gabba Salumi, a reality linked to the tradition of Italian cold cuts, wanted to make its communication more accessible and engaging in the digital realm.
This need led to a gaming experience web that recalls the illustrated language of country markets, merging tradition and contemporaneity.
Palette, shapes, and illustrations support the gaming experience and enhance brand recognition.

A game to communicate the Italian flavor

The idea was to transform curiosity about Italian cured meats into an interactive experience that can inform, entertain, and foster loyalty.
The choice of game format comes from a marketing evaluation, identifying gamification as the most effective tool to communicate the brand's values and promote the products.

Each game offers thematic questions about the world of cured meats: you always win, because every answer becomes an opportunity to learn more about the product and its history.
An approach designed to maintain a positive experience and encourage engagement.

Reference imaginary

During the design phase, we analyzed the gastronomic imagery of Made in Italy, identifying three iconic archetypes capable of representing the brand's values: competence, tradition, and authenticity.

These figures have constituted a visual and narrative reference point for the development of character design, guiding the definition of personalities, attitudes, and roles of the characters before their translation into illustrated style.

Symbol of competence, experience, and deep knowledge of the product.

The experienced butcher

It represents tradition, memory, and the passion passed down through time.

The grandmother guardian of the recipes

Incarnation of authenticity and direct relationship with the raw material.

The farmer tied to the land

To bring the gaming experience to life and make the interaction more empathetic, we have developed a series of original characters and a complete set of illustrated assets that accompany the user throughout the journey.

The gaming experience

The experience is designed to be simple, intuitive, and accessible from any device.
Each level presents a question on food themes: the user responds, receives immediate feedback, and continues playing until the end of the journey.

The states "You won" and "You lost" reinforce the engagement dynamic, always maintaining a positive and ironic tone.
By completing a defined number of levels, the user unlocks a digital discount voucher, accessible from their personal area and usable in-store via QR code.

From the game to the screen

The web app has been designed with a mobile-first approach, seamlessly adapting to three main breakpoints: desktop, tablet, and smartphone.



Every screen is designed to maintain clarity and visual rhythm: from the introductory landing page to the feedback pop-ups, up to the final reward screen.

Master Salumiere has transformed Gabba Salumi's communication into an accessible and engaging gaming experience. A project that combines education and fun, enhancing Made in Italy and strengthening the brand identity.
